Stop In The Name Of Sanity And Quality Posting!

I think that this whole meme list thing has gotten way out of hand. It was amusing and fun at first, but now it seems like too many bloggers are getting bogged down with the whole routine. It is too late to nip it in the bud... it has become a situation where we have a tiger cat by the tail.

Let's chomp on the beast's tail and send it running. If you are in agreement for ending the endless meme lists please leave a comment saying so. Take a stand. Are you with me?

At first I thought it was fun and was almost flattered when tagged. Now, I think you are right...it has gotten out of hand. Especially the whole "If I were a...." Meme.

I am with you if it doesn't offend anyone else anywhere. I actually just don't do them..
BTW I tagged you with several new lists on my site..

What does meme stand for anyway?

I understand your point, but don't agree--I love them! Most of them are designed to reveal odd little quirks, likes or dislikes about a person. But I suppose if someone doesn't WANT to reveal those things, or has much better content for their blog (which you do!) I can see how a meme might be annoying.

It's not that the meme list is a bad idea... it's just that there has been waaay too much of it lately. the whole things has gotten out of control! Let's give it a rest for awhile, or at least not keep tagging everyone. If YOU see one you want to do, post it! I've done that.

Cheers everyone!

a meme isn't an acronym that stands for something, it's a real word-- as in "memes and genes". Whereas a gene is a unit of DNA that is transmitted from parents to children, a meme is a unit of cultural information that can be transmitted verbally or by repeated action...

Waaay too many repeated actions! ;o)

I agree. I would rather respond to them in the comments section rather than bore people with mine on my blog. Thanks for leading the charge Rhodent! So, what are your top five "Take a Stand Events?" Sorry, couldn't resist.
