After Four Weeks, I Am Quite Perturbed

Enough already!!! I had the virus that has been going around. I am still coughing. It is getting very old... especially at 3 am! I had been feeling better with just this nagging cough that is aggravating to say the least. This weekend I have awaken each morning to a nasty sore throat ...AGAIN.

Both of my daughters have had this bug, everybody at work has had this bug, and I seem to be starting over with this bug. Supposedly the cough hangs on for a few weeks and then gradually goes away. Why am I so lucky? I have things to get done. It is a very busy time at work for me. I don't have time to be down sick any more. I guess I shall have to break down and visit the doctor if the sore throat does not go away in a day or so. Bitch, bitch, bitch...

So to distract me from feeling sorry for myself any more than I have already, I have decided to post a few questions I have thought of in my recent flu remedy stupor. I hope that you will all be kind enough to provide me with some entertaining answers.

  1. What do you look for in a relationship?
  2. What characteristics do you think are necessary for a good relationship?
  3. Condo or house--what's your preference?
  4. Which is more fun, an Ipod or a PDA?
Okay, now dazzle me with your answers! I freely admit that this has been a boring post. I am counting on your entertaining comments to liven it up a bit.

1. What do you look for in a relationship?
There are two things I look for. The person has to be female and she has to have a pulse. It doesn't have to be a strong pulse..
2. What characteristics do you think are necessary for a good relationship?
From my personal experience the most important characteristic of a good relationship is having your partner living in another country. Another universe would be even better.
3. Condo or house--what's your preference?
I like living in a house but for safe sex I think a condo, or condom as we call them in Canada, can't be beat..
4. Which is more fun, an Ipod or a PDA?
An Ipod is fun and a PDA is practical. But for maximum enjoyment I go with an accordian,a monkey, some paper and a pencil..

My students called me Dr. Excitement or Mr. Excitement so maybe I can help liven this up.

How did you get your little mouse to cough? Should I get hold of the SPCA?
Or the animal rights group, PETA?

Or shouldn't he/she be getting to the vet if it is a sick cough?

By the way, I'm scared of micro-bugs so I will wash my mouse and my hands after this comment. My mouse might be infected from your mouse.

Maybe it is mouse fever or mouse flu, strain ?? Should we all sterilize our mouses?

1. What do you look for in a relationship?
TRUST (this works both ways)

2. What characteristics do you think are necessary for a good relationship?
TRUST (your kiddy censor might keep you from reading the other idea)

3. Condo or house--what's your preference?
HOUSE UNTIL AGE 85, THEN CONDO (provided I still have a wife young enough to take care of me there--I don't mow anymore as it is. Nor do I shovel snow. My brother-in-law, Jim, two years younger than me, looks so old that the neighbors come over to blow his snow away and his grand-daughter mows their lawn.)

4. Which is more fun, an Ipod or a PDA?
NEITHER, I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO PROGRAM THEM (My grand-daughter has put half of my phone list in our cell phone address book. She will do the rest soon.)

I hope this helps.

Sorry you are sick. Go see the doc!
As for the questions, I had to laugh at HappyandBlue's anwser! He's so funny!

I agree with Jim about #1&2.

3. Condo or house.
That's a hard one. If I could I'd live on a HUGE farm. Houses are nice but if you are alone you have the upkeep and yard chores. Condo's are nice with no yardwork and often come with great perks such as gyms, pools, etc. Just your preference I guess.

4. I haven't a clue as to what either of those things are, so no help there.

I really haven't figured all of this out and how I ended up in a lifelong relationship. We think alike, have the same spiritual, and political and social views and you have to be unpredictable otherwise. A good sense of humor is essential in both parties.
3. A condo on a farm in the middle of the country.
4. Ipod. She always picks the peas cuz she can bend over easier.

1. What do you look for in a relationship? I don't look for anything - Char would kill me if she even thought I was looking.

2. What characteristics do you think are necessary for a good relationship? It's got to be humor and a lot of laughter. Life can be so - serious at times.

3. Condo or house--what's your preference? Now a house. Probably in a few more years a condo - no yard work. A few years after that an apartment - no maintenance. A few years after that - a retirement community. A few more years assisted living.

4. Which is more fun, an Ipod or a PDA? I have no idea what an IPOD even is. My PDA was fun especially the day I threw it in the river and went back to a calendar and address book.

Hope you get feeling better.

Thank you all for your comments!

I can always count on you all for a smile or a laugh!

Highlights of the answers... trust, humor, forgiveness, intelligence, ability to laugh at yourself and express yourself are all characteristics I would readily agree with. I would also add a strong faith... not the holy roller type, but an honest faith in God and His role in our lives. At this point, trust is a difficult one for me.

I am having a difficult time deciding whether look at moving into a condo or a smaller house when our current house is sold. Condos have less maintenance, but have added maintenance fees. A lot of condos will not allow pets, and some condo associations can be a pain.
Houses have more upkeep, but also more privacy and a place to secure a car.
Currently in this area, both are very overpriced and still rising.

I have a feeling that I may join Ralph in heaving the PDA after awhile, but I don't have a good handle on using it yet... so who knows? I just found out what an Ipod does and now have to figure out how to use it. I like the idea of having music in my car that I like without having to lug around my CDs. Also I am curious about being able to download missed television shows. I doubt that I will want to watch football on a 2x3 screen, but some other shows would be okay. So I guess an Ipod should be more fun if I don't blow a gasket trying to figure out how to use it!

One more Rhodent. I can't stand controlling people. Especially men who think they own their 'woman'.
I vote for the condo, especially if you can find one that doesn't allow rats. :)

Gotta love that H&B2! :)

I think house vs condo depends on whether or not you like yardwork. One of those "Garden Homes" is kind of in between I guess.

Relationships - you could write entire blogs about that, and I guess some people do.

Did you get an iPod? I did too! I feel so 21st century now.

Oh no. I had the same bug that you seem to have. It does go away, I promise. My Dr. prescribed me Levaquin and that really seemed to knock out the worst of it in 2 days.

What do you look for in a relationship?

Humor and interest - excellent conversations - excellent sex -

What characteristics do you think are necessary for a good relationship?

similar hobbies (to do together) and separate hobbies (to maintain identity)... Similary friends... Love of family.

Condo or house--what's your preference?

I'm single so a Condo is more my style. Less maintenance, good communities. Community pool! Community work out facility!

Which is more fun, an Ipod or a PDA?

Ipod ...
