Two More Weeks And It Will Be Time To get The Hurricane Tracking Charts Out Again!
There were a lot of cartoons and jokes, but it really wasn't funny four times around! I am not sure I am ready to go through this again. Hopefully we will get through another year with no direct hit. The last direct hit to Pinellas County/Tampa Bay by a major hurricane was in 1921! Tomorrow I will begin a post about living in a precarious hurricane area.

Those cartoon were going around work here and I thought they were hilarious! I can think that because I was in Central Florida for Charley, Francis and Jeanne. (I'm just outside of Polk County...where I think the eye of two of those hurricanes came across).
I can't believe it's hurricane season again already...we've got out checklist ready and I will not be caught without gas in my truck or without a generator this time around!
There's a tropical storm they're tracking right now...it's suppose to hit the Gulf in a few days. Guess we'll have to wait and see! :)
I hope they do move Florida north. You will live close to where I live then and I can borrow sugar and milk from you..
At least if Florida moves that far north then the Hockey team swill make a little more sense. You folks are way better than I am. I fI lived in an area constantly pummeled by storms I would be packing up and moving out. Awesome orange juice and temperate climate be damned!
I've always assumed I wouldn't ever have enough cash saved to be able to make a choice as to where I would retire 'to'. One side tells me to stay put, and the other let's me dream about places like where you live.
HOWEVER, after last year, Nebraska is looking better than it did. We can have bitter winters but the deadliest of our storms (tornado's) dont't give one much time to worry. Then if you didn't get hit, it's over and life continues. You've got it good but I feel for you this time of year.
