The Best Laid Plans of Mice And Men...

Well, I'm sad to say that I am losing my roommate. It seems she and her man have decided to be just friends, so she is heading back to Georgia in the next day or so. She plans on getting a job and going back to school to study to be a nurse. She also plans on visiting in the future when she can (likely for the Florida/Georgia football match in October). So tomorrow after work we will float in the pool and enjoy some Mimosas. It has really been a lot of fun having her staying in my home.

Lately, I have been following the episodes of The Next Internet Millionaire on the internet. Mostly, I am interested in the program because my daughter Allison's boyfriend Charles is one the twelve people who made it as a finalist. I especially enjoyed watching episode 4 tonight because Charles, who won't eat fish, pork, or a lot of other things, ate 2 worms. Not only did he eat them, but the way he ate them was hysterically funny... to me any way! You can watch any of the episodes or auditions for the program by going to the following site: http://www.nextinternetmillionaire.com The first episode was a little too long and a bit boring, but sets up how the other episodes unfold. By episode two you really get to see some of the personalities (negative and positive) emerging. There is a new episode each week until the final one sometime in November. I will continue to watch to see what Charles gets to do next. But it will be difficult to top the worm-eating that debuted tonight!

I am determined to finally start reading the latest Harry Potter book. It has been sitting in its box since the first day of distribution waiting for me to open it and start reading. Everyone that I have talked to that has already read the book has given it a thumbs up. I'll let you know what I think when I am done.

Sorry to hear about the room mate. The pool and drinks make it sound like possibly life is goooood.
I just read your questions on blogstock. Yeah the details are sketchy at best but it will be well planned out eventually. Part of your answers will be in how you are traveling. Omaha is the nearest airport. Driving...well the nearest road runs by the farm so that's good. There are some very interesting accomadations here locally.

It is interesting how people move in and out of our lives. I know you will miss her, but now there will be room for the next one. Hey! It just might be me! Well, probably not, I have never even set foot in Florida, so I doubt I could get that lost. But, ya never know!
Do enjoy your roaming. Let me know if you come up the coast!

Hi Peggy.

I saw that you found Big Jason's blog and left a comment.

Sometimes, don't you wish you were able to reach through your monitor and seriously throttle someone?

I do, and that person is Big J. Man oh man - if he developed a personality that was 1/8th of his own ego, he would be a force to reckon with.

Right now though, he is just one overgrown, self opinionated lump of doggy doo doo!

I love TNIM - I am actually backing Laura. I think she is Christmas. *smiles*

I hope all is well with you and yours.

Feel free to email me if you want to: john@myriad2020.com

Kind regards,

John in Australia

John-
Thanks for stopping by... I have enjoyed watching TNIM, and think that these contestants that remain should do a JV of their own! My favorite is Charles Trippy, which is not surprising since he is my youngest daughter's boyfriend. He really is a nice guy and much more serious that you would think by his appearance. All of the remaining seem to be capable. Laura looks much more serious with the new "do" and is becoming more of a player. Should be interesting to follow.

I haven't seen the show, but I've read the book (you need to get after it!) and sorry your roommate is leaving so soon.

I'm looking forward to meeting you at Blogstock! I fear it will pass much too quickly and Cliff will have to run us off!!

Sorry you are losing your roommate. She sounds very sweet.
Houses around here aren't selling too well either. There are so many for sale! There are 5 for sale within a half mile of us.

Eating worms! I could not do that unless I was starving. Not for money. It wouldn't be worth it. EEWWWWWWWEEEE!!!!!

Rachel-- I am looking forward to meeting you as well. As for the worms... there is NO WAY!
