Ode To A Cast
I have a cast which when new
Was a pretty color of blue
The older it got
It smelled more like rot
Right now all I can say is pee-ew!

Bless your heart! A friend of mine used to take a long handle tiny bottle brush and fasten a thin rag around it, dip it in alcohol and slide it up under her cast and clean it out that way. She used a pile of little rags per cleaning. It made it feel better and smell better. I don't know if it would work or if it is Stupid Idea # 642. I wondered if it would ultimately hurt the cast????? But it seemed to work for her.
I sure hope you are doing better real soon!
Oh dear!! Your poem does not paint a pretty picture..or more to the point...a smelly picture! I hope you get rid of the thing soon and are doing well, in spite of the smell!!
Those things develop a smell all their own.

Casts are for those who believe they have nothing to look forward to. So you don't need one but sorry you must. My hope is for the old rhodent. That didn't sound right but I meant well.
Hope you're well on your way to being all healed.
