HOT Continued

This morning I wrote a short post about how hot is it here in sunny Florida. I should have added a couple of things to that post... (1) if you try to take a cold shower to cool down you are disappointed because the coolest water temperature from the faucet or shower head is warm! I brush my teeth in warm water and keep my water bottles in the refrigerator because the coolest tap water is warm. (2) When going outside in the early morning or late evening if you expect to cool off you will be disappointed. There is nothing more wilting than going outside at sunrise and it is already 85 degrees and very humid!

It is true that the worst of this takes place during July, August, and September, but June is no slouch. For instance, it is currently 11:20 PM and 84 degrees outside. No rain today to cool things off. While bears and northerners tend to hibernate in the winter, this rodent hibernates in the air conditioning in the summer!

Ok, I'm done whining for the moment. Ocean breezes, please!

I wish! We might get to forty degrees in the winter here occasionally, and everyso often we get some temps just at freezing or a little above. I love the cooler weather... most of the time it is colder in Minnesota in the summer than it is here in the winter!

I prefer cool weather. You can dress up to stay warm but there are only so many clothes you can take off to cool down in the heat..

Happyand blue2-- My sentiments EXACTLY! Why have I lived most of my life in Florida? Why did my parents move me here? If I had to live and drive in snow I wouldn't know what to do! Frozen pipes? How does that happen!
